A question of feelings

During all these years visiting my grandparents, I never took the time to visit this charming place. A place where you have an amazing view on the villages around and a statue of "the Virgin". After a walk in the wood, you face the horizon and see the Virgin's back. She is standing quietly, draped in white, opening her arms to the villages' inhabitants. Discovering this place has been a mix of nostalgia, excitement and sadness. Nostalgia because I spent all my childhood in these villages and I miss the time when my beloved grandparents were there; excitement to discover a new place full of charm and so different from where I live now; sadness because discovering this place so late reminds me how elusive the time can be.

Everyone has a role to play ~~ Chinatown, NYC with my Rolleiflex

I have been fascinated by the Chinatown area in NYC. Walking there at morning time is like going to the theater. Everyone has a role to play and it seems like everyone knows exactly what to do and which character they are. Some are at the same place everyday, they are doing the same thing everyday, their job. Passerby are spectators.
